- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business, or related field.
- Driver’s licence
- 3–5 years’ experience in event management, preferably in sports or live entertainment.
Advantageous
- Strong understanding of the sports industry and event production.
- Experience managing large-scale or televised sports events.
- Basic knowledge of audio/visual and staging production.
- Familiarity with ticketing platforms and CRM systems.
The responsibilities are:
Event planning & logistics
- Plan and execute all aspects of sports events, including venues, permits, schedules, staffing, equipment, transportation, and accommodation.
- Coordinate event set-up and breakdown, ensuring all logistics run smoothly.
- Create detailed event timelines, run-of-show, and contingency plans.
- Act as a consultant in an advisory capacity for Curro schools when planning their annual events.
Stakeholder & vendor management
- Liaise with sponsors, vendors, suppliers, venue staff, and governing sports bodies.
- Oversee contracts and agreements with third-party service providers.
- Manage athlete, coach, and VIP hospitality services.
Budgeting & reporting
- Develop and manage event budgets; track expenses and ensure financial goals are met.
- Prepare post-event reports with metrics on attendance, engagement, and ROI.
Marketing & promotion
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events across digital, print, and broadcast platforms.
- Assist with ticketing strategies and spectator engagement initiatives.
- Manage event branding and ensure consistent visual identity.
Compliance & safety
- Ensure all events comply with local regulations, health and safety standards, and sports governance policies.
- Develop and implement risk management and emergency response plans.
- Act as a consultant in an advisory capacity for Curro schools when planning their event compliancy and safety.
The successful candidate will start on 01 January 2026.
