The successful incumbent will be responsible for:



  • The directing, coordinating and supporting of Industrial Refrigeration Service and Maintenance personnel to execute the cost effective and timely servicing and maintenance necessary, for the operation of all equipment and assets;

  • Ensure effective training and development of the team members to enable them to “up-skill” and produce high quality work;

  • Promote industrial refrigeration/maintenance best practices to increase equipment reliability and reduce cost;

  • Ensure work orders and scheduled service and maintenances are completed in a timely accurate and cost-effective manner;

  • Troubleshooting and resolving new, complex, and or different technical (mechanical and electrical) problems regarding refrigeration plants, equipment, and assets.


 


Minimum qualifications and experience:



  • Trade Tested (Red Seal) Technician in industrial refrigeration from a MERSETA accredited institution with 5 - 10+ years’ experience with a focus on ammonia refrigeration systems;

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and industry experience most advantageous;

  • Must have previous experience and exposure within a servicing and maintenance environment;

  • Authorized Ammonia Refrigeration Practitioner with Cat C registration at SARACCA most advantageous;

  • Computer Skills: Advanced MS Office & AutoCAD skills;
