Key responsibilities to ASSIST the Accountant with the following:
Going out to clients to process their monthly bookkeeping
Handling in house bookkeeping clients
Pastel processing up to Trial balance – cashbooks, bank reconciliations, debtors, creditors, petty cash, stock .
Drafting of monthly management accounts and reports.
VAT calculations and reconciliations
Payroll calculations and reconciliations
Preparation of statutory returns – VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and Workmen’s Compensation
Completion of VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and Workmen’s Compensation registration forms.
Attending SARS appointments.
Assistance with tax returns and SARS queries
Assistance with annual returns and statutory documents – CIPC .

The candidate must meet the following requirements:
Own reliable transport is essential
2 to 3 years relevant working experience
Previous experience working in an accounting practice .
Pastel experience is essential (inventory experience is advantageous)
Computer literate in word, excel and outlook
SARS e-filing and e@syfile experience is essential
Good understanding of debits and credits and accounting principles.

Salary: R10 000 - R13 000.
