Position for Technical Workshop Manager Urgently Needed
Job Description
Main objective of this role is to ensure staff and the Workshop are managed. Ensuring that all projects are completed on timelines + company standards. Grimms t/a Atlantic Commercial Diesel Services was founded 27 years ago.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Overall responsibility of workshop and wash-bay
• Control service delivery & customer service
• Responsible for job allocation & job flow in workshop .
• Assist with quoting, project management, materials purchasing & quality checks
• Regularly progress report on each job & communicate delays or concerns.
• Ensure workshop staff understand job specs & time frames .
• Sign off job cards as completed. Quality check prior to work being released to customer
• Follow up on back orders and inform customer on progress.
• Report any malfunctions of machines
• General marketing of services.
• Compile budgets and reach targets as set out
• Safe keeping of special tools
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations
• Any other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications and Skills
• Matric / Grade 12, Computer literate, at least 5 years' experience in a similar position, Customer service expertise, Be professional, Highly self-motivated individual, Interpersonal skills, Report writing to management, Daily, weekly, monthly work load prioritization. Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans (speak, read, write), Flexibility to work overtime when required. ***email***
