Position for Technical Assistant Cape Town
Job Description
1. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
1.1 The minimum education requirement is a Matric certificate or equivalent.
1.2 Must have technical ability and good technical background.
1.3 Must have knowledge of aircraft and the Aviation Alphabet.
1.4 Must be able to read and write in English.
1.5 Must be able to communicate clearly and fluently in English.
1.6 Must have a valid Code 10 Drivers License.
1.7 Must have an AVOP.
1.8 Will attend training as and when required to do so.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Positioning of aircraft in the parking bay to ensure on-time departure and removal of aircraft from the parking bay after the day’s completed flight schedule.
2.2 Re-positioning of aircraft as requested.
2.3 Manning aircraft brakes during towing operations, including operation of aircraft Auxiliary Power Units.
2.4 Pre shift inspection of equipment, identifying and reporting of defective equipment.
2.5 Jacking of aircraft and cleaning of Landing Gears and aircraft parts.
2.6 Removing and installation of panels, seats and interiors.
