Job Summary
Join a large listed company as Project Manager in their Facilities Department. The succesfull person will ensure successful implementation and management of an immovable assets maintenance program across 179 schools on 77 premises nationally.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining a facilities management program across all facilities nationally
  • Ensuring reactive maintenance and incidents are addressed within SLA timeframes
  • Managing planned maintenance projects within the expected timeframes
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and initiating remedial actions where required
  • Finding and implementing technological solutions to optimize operational costs and efficiencies
  • Ensuring compliance with the business continuity policy
  • Engaging with end users and senior management on a regular basis to ensure project briefs and deliveries are met within requirements
  • Engaging with construction professionals on a regular basis to ensure project briefs and deliveries are met within expected timeframes
  • Engaging with building contractors on a regular basis to ensure completion of projects within the expected timeframes
  • Co-ordinating all role players and processes to ensure completion of projects within expected timeframes
  • Managing project progress reporting system
  • Travelling to existing sites and construction sites
  • Ensuring budget change management process compliance
  • Ensuring the effective maintenance of contracts and SLA’s with building contractors and service providers
  • Ensuring projects are closed-out effectively in terms of work completion certificates and hand over to end user, etc

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12 with either a Qualification in Facilities Management and or Qualification in Construction Project Management
  • 5 years as a facilities manager or construction project manager
  • Facilities management on various facilities simultaneously nationally
