Position for Production Manager/engineer
Job Description
Introduction
The Production Manager will join a growing and fast paced business that provide quality, solid wood furniture to big brands.
The ideal candidate will have a degree/diploma in engineering, a passion for excellence and will drive the performance of the production team through continuous improvement ensuring quality output.
The Production Engineer will ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently.
Responsibilities of the job include:
planning and organising production schedules
assessing project and resource requirements
estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers
ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
determining quality control standards
overseeing production processes
re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary
selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
supervision of the team.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Solid 5 - 8 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Woodwork/Carpentry experience advantageous
Understanding of JIT Principles
Understanding of Health and Safety.
