Position for Occupational Health Nurse

Inherent requirements:
Education -
• Registered with South African Nursing counsel (SANC).
• Proof of SASOHN membership
• B.Tech Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing.
• Dispensing certificate
• Certificate of competency in Audiometry
• Certificate of competency in Spirometry
• Basic understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act with regulations.
The duties of the OHNP include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Provision of primary health care and emergency service within scope of practice
• The compilation and management of the clinic budget
• The overseeing and assistance with the housekeeping and maintenance of the clinic and clinic equipment
• The implementation and maintenance of a Hearing Conservation Program
• The implementation, supervision and maintenance of a Chronic Disease Management program
• Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Operations Manager.
