Position for Fitter

Manufacturing company require Semi-Retired/ Retired person (preferably Afrikaans speaking) experienced in a Mechanical Manufacturing environment, experience working with Lathes, Grinding and Cutting Machinery, Knowledge of working with Technical Drawings. Require Operator with Pleaters experience and experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment, working with lathes, grinding and cutting machinery + working with technical drawings. Will: Manufacture pleater components to specification, in using jigs and gauges. Assemble pleaters from manufactured and brought in components. Test assembled pleaters to ensure they perform. Identify any performance shortcomings and rectify. Pack Pleaters and associated items. Keep track of, and report to the factory manager on utilization and stock of materials.Monitor and attend to problems with lathes and other machinery. Keep factory manager fully informed on: manufacture of pleaters, problems with factory machinery. Must have "good feel" for mechanical equipment, understand and comply with technical drawings. Accurate record keeping . Experience required: Work in a mechanical manufacturing environment, work with lathes, grinding and cutting machinery. Drivers license, own transport.
