Position for Cook
Job Description
This person must have experience in cooking and meal preparation in the hospitality industry. The candidate must have the ability to prepare meals in the open, using limited resources.
Our camps makes use of braais and gas to cook our meals, whilst on a safari tours, for our guests.
Our cook/chef will travel with other support staff and will be responsible for all meal preparation throughout the safari tours.
Our business model is similar to that of a mobile camping safari operation, where our team is expected to travel with and service our guests whilst on Safaris, often in remote areas.
This candidate must also have the ability to create menu options and references from previous employers are essential.
The candidate will also have to perform a practical interview, where they will prepare a meal to test their ability to execute in terms of their skill set and experience. This will be a simulation of the environment and conditions expected during our safari tours.
