Job Description
CALL FOR APPLICATION: BOARD MEMBERS (Volunteers)
Closing date: 31/01/2020
The Board of Central Gauteng Mental Health is looking for people with the following background knowledge to serve on the Board:
• Legal background or experience in business
• Knowledgeable about the Mental Health sector
• A person with knowledge on finances and fundraising
• A person with Psychiatric/Social Work/Occupational Therapist background
• A person with administration skills or
Requirements:
• Understanding of the Mental Health Sector or NGO sector
• Previous experience working with a variety of donors and local and international foundations, will be an advantage
• Preferably five years' relevant experience working in an NGO environment .
Responsibilities:
• Providing strategic leadership and general organisation oversight.
• Policy development.
• Assistance with finances and fundraising strategies.
• Counter-signing various documents as specified by the Chair of the Board.
• Attend four board meetings a year including the annual general meeting.
NB. This is voluntary, no salary paid.
